The Jazz Gospel was founded in 2014 by Nick Brown: saxophonist, improviser, composer and blogger.

Beginning life as a twitter page, The Jazz Gospel has been an ongoing project with the mission statement of celebrating the rich history and inspiring future of all things jazz and at the same time, acting as a platform for musicians and jazz enthusiasts to connect. The accounts original purpose was to celebrate the many landmarks within the idiom, sharing quotes and instigating discussion around The Jazz Gospel’s Musician of the Day.
